My continuing series about WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK! This book is the first in a trilogy about who killed Pia Sabel’s parents. Originally planned in 2015, before Donald Trump ran for office, it predicted Russian efforts to undermine the US presidential election and an unscrupulous candidate who took advantage of their offer.
As I wrote this book, real life events paralleled and overtook my thriller’s scenario, causing a few re-writes. I even shelved it for a year and wrote another book, Death and the Damned, first.
