A Kindle Fire HD Giveaway for a Thank You! (This contest is over, the winner is: Eileen of Goodreads)
Yes, I’m giving away one Kindle Fire HD (US, UK, Canada only), but first I must say thank you to the thousands of readers who snapped up a copy of The Geneva Decision last week.
Your purchases lifted the book into the Kindle Top 100 and pushed it to #3 in the Mystery/Thriller-Women Sleuths category. In the broader Mystery/Thriller category, it peaked in the top 25, ahead of one of my favorites, Lee Child’s Wanted Man.
Thank you!
Amazon’s best seller lists are updated hourly, so all rankings are temporary and destined to drop, but the fact that so many people were willing to take a risk on an unknown debut author makes my day. I am humbled and honored.
What about the Kindle Fire HD giveaway? I am so honored that I want to give something back to the reading community. I also want to incent you to move the book to the top of your To-Be-Read list. All you have to do is post two honest reviews*, one on Goodreads and the other on the reseller of your choice, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Kobo.
RULES:
1) Post two (2) reviews*. One on Goodreads and the other on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Kobo.
2) Send an email to Seeley@seeleyjames.com with links to both your reviews (current eligible reviews have been auto-entered).
3) In the subject line put “BECAUSE I ALWAYS WIN”**.
4) DEADLINE: 22-February, 2013, Midnight Arizona Time (GMT-7).
No purchase necessary. If you read about this after the sale price ended, or you just don’t like buying a book to enter a contest, or you just want a free book for the heck of it, send me an email noting your e-reader type (limited to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo readers), and I’ll send you a copy.
Thank you for putting your faith in a heroine-led thriller. Thank you for taking a chance on a debut author. Thank you for joining a group of early adopters who will soon be crowing, “I read Pia Sabel stories before (it was cool)(the movie came out)(the author started drinking).” And thank you in advance for reviewing and recommending this book to everyone you know. I appreciate your help.
Don’t forget to sign up for email notices (right side of screen). You will be notified of the winner and you will get updates on Pia Sabel’s next adventure, the serial novel Trench Coats, not to mention my poorly worded but occasionally interesting thriller reviews.
Peace, Seeley
* Honest means: you have read the entire book and are posting your real, heartfelt opinion of The Geneva Decision. No need to suck up, the winner will be chosen by an independent third party who will throw a dart at a printed list of names tacked to a cactus.
** You guessed it, a direct quote from the book. Pia Sabel tells a bad guy who fell into her trap: He knew I’d win because I always win. So he sent you—and you fell for it.
