Yesterday, my almost-fourteen-year-old son said, “Dad, let’s go see WHITE HOUSE DOWN, just you and me.” I’ve been raising kids for 37 years—I knew I wouldn’t hear that phrase again for a decade. So, despite the fact that I’d decided to skip that movie, I went.
The movie is a winner! I was shocked at how fun it was. You should see it. Channing Tatum plays eye candy for the women (yeah-duh), but Jamie Foxx and a little girl named Joey King sell the whole thing with some great acting. Plenty of explosions and the bad guys get it in the end. Very well done.
More great fans! Not only did Cheryl Dillenbeck win one of two books I’m giving away by posting the first review of Episode III on Goodreads, but Susan Gainoutdinov tweeted a recommendation to all her followers! And Melissa Kruger went so far as to get banned from Reddit for recommending my work! (I have no idea what Reddit is. :)
