On 19-June, my granddaughter, Jenee Scott embarked on what was supposed to be a fun, family vacation with her four kids. They drove from Seattle back to our hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. Late that night, they were involved in an accident in Palm Springs that caused their car to flip and roll six times. Two of Jenee’s beautiful children, Aaliyah (6) and Jeremiah (2) died at the scene.
From a young age, Jenee Scott has always been dedicated to helping others. As a child she wanted to be a pediatric doctor, allowing her to blend her passion for others and her love for kids. When she got pregnant at 18, she continued to follow her dreams while supporting her child, and earned her Medical Assistant Certificate shortly after graduating high school. She became a caring, loving mother to four wonderful babies. Despite any hardship she faced, she always put her kids first, and lent a helping hand to anyone she could.
Jenee and the surviving two children, Amari (age 8) and Ariah (age 2) are still in the hospital in critical condition. Jenee has suffered two fractured vertebrae, broken ribs, bruised lungs, and a bruised throat. She will likely need skin grafts. Her recovery time will be lengthy.
The pain of this tragedy has only been made worse by the on-going pandemic. Jenee was not allowed visitors for a week. The photo below was the first time she was allowed to visit with friends and family and hold Ariah.

We have been blessed with the loving generosity of friends, family, fans, and other Indie Authors who have showered Jenee and her extended family with love, prayers, and support. Thank you to all!
Peace,
Seeley James
